Ferdy Murphy's Cheltenham tips

I'M very hopeful that The Hollinwell and Watch My Back can add to my Festival tally today. Both have outstanding chances and have schooled well.

I'm also hoping that it will be a memorable day for the North which is too often ignored by the authorities. For example, I've never understood why we have to have the headquarters of the BHA in London. Everything seems to revolve around the south.

And, while I think Big Buck's will be very difficult to beat in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle after winnning the race last year, I really hope my old rival Howard Johnson wins the race with the great Tidal Bay.

A great hurdler, he lost his way over fences before winning the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham's Festival Trials meeting at the end of January when Brian Hughes deputised for stable jockey Denis O'Regan.

O'Regan is back in the saddle today and knows what it takes to win this three-mile trip; he completed the third, and final leg, of Inglis Drever's hat-trick of triumphs in the race for Howard.

With the drying ground, they must have every chance.
