FIRST BLOW: New Bramall Lane chief Adams suffers opening loss

Sheffield United's new manager Micky Adams trudges towards the dressing room at Turf Moor during his first match in charge which ended in a 4-2 Championship defeat to Burnley.

Adams was disappointed with his side's defensive performance but insisted there were positives to take from his first game in charge.

Adams, previously manager at Port Vale, said: "I think there's been positives and negatives to come out of it.

We scored two goals away from home again and going forward we looked as though we could cause Burnley problems but defensively we were not good."
