Barnet 0 Bradford City 2: Bantams ease the pressure on Taylor

PETER TAYLOR watched Bradford claim their first win on the road and repeated his pre-match claims that the Bantams would be wrong to let him go.

Taylor appealed for patience from the fans in midweek insisting he would deliver the results if given the time.

Despite arriving at Underhill without a win – or a goal – in four games, Taylor and company made good on their promise.

Second-half strikes from Leon Osborne and Tom Adeyemi did the damage and were enough to move the Bantams out of the relegation zone.

Taylor is adamant with the injury problems at Valley Parade the powers that be would have been mad to show him the door.

"I know there's been a few little things in the press that it could've been the last game for me, which I didn't believe.

"But I think there's a lot players there that were really up for it and it was good to see. Of course you think about the rumours but I know this squad is a good one. We haven't made too much of it but we've had a lot of injuries and there's five or six players that could've played but didn't play."
