Barnet 1 Doncaster Rovers 3: James Coppinger brace keeps Rovers at top of League Two

James Coppinger scored twice as Doncaster maintained a four-point lead at the top of Sky Bet League Two with a 3-1 win at Barnet.

The Bees, who went into the game having won six of their last eight games, took the lead after 13 minutes when John Akinde rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home.

But their joy was short-lived as Doncaster equalised five minutes later, Coppinger firing in a low shot.

Rovers were ahead after 28 minutes when John Marquis appeared to get the final touch in a goalmouth scramble, and Coppinger bent in a third.

League Two round-up

Second-placed Plymouth recovered from an early setback to ease to a 4-2 win against Stevenage.

Carlisle were held to a 1-1 draw at home by 10-man Morecambe as Charlie Wyke cancelled out Aaron Wilding's early opener shortly after Dean Winnard had been sent off.

Portsmouth closed the gap on the third-placed Cumbrians with a 2-1 win at home to Leyton Orient.

Cheltenham moved out of the bottom three with a 3-0 win against 10-man Accrington.

Diego De Girolamo lashed home following a free-kick five yards out, awarded after Omar Beckles' back-pass was picked up by the keeper, and it was 3-0 shortly afterwards when Waters turned the ball home.
