Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies has signed a new two-year contract at Oakwell with an option to extend a further year to June 2018.
The 22-year-old has flourished in his debut season at Oakwell after arriving last season from South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
Davies made 25 appearances and recorded 10 clean sheets and will fight for the regular No 1 jersey with Ross Turnbull next term.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Davies said: “I’m really happy to have signed a new deal. I’m really settled here and feel I’ve improved my game last season.
“I want to kick on now and hopefully next season we can push on for promotion.”
