BRADFORD CITY, last season’s losing Capital One Cup finalists, have been handed a mouth-watering trip to West Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield Town in the first round of the 2013-14 competition.
City famously lost 4-0 to Town in their duo’s last meeting in the competition, in a one-sided round-one clash at the John Smith’s Stadium back in August 2008.
The pick of the other Yorkshire ties sees another all-White Rose affair with Rotherham United welcoming near-neighbours Sheffield Wednesday, who will visit the New York Stadium for the first time.
Leeds United will host Chesterfield - the pair meeting for the first time in over half a century since November 1960, while York City have also been handed an attractive tie at home to Burnley.
Doncaster Rovers welcome Rochdale, with Barnsley playing host to Scunthorpe.
Sheffield United entertain Burton, who knocked them out of the competition on penalties last season.
Middlesbrough are at home to Accrington.
Ties to be played in the week commencing August 5, 2013.
