Hull City were the big winners in the Championship as the Tigers beat rivals Leeds United - while Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday were locked in a 0-0 stalemate.

Barnsley are bottom of the Championship after a 3-1 home loss to strugglers Blackburn Rovers.

In League One, Sheffield United suffered a shock defeat to rock bottom Hartlepool - losing top spot and their unbeaten record. Doncaster Rovers are now joint second with United after winning away at Preston.

In League Two, Rotherham United netted four in beating Accrington Stanley, but Bradford City shipped four in defeat to Rochdale. York were held 0-0 by Fleetwood.

Josh King (29) opened the scoring for Rovers, before Rochina (44) added a second. Stephen Dawson (76) grabbed a late lifeline, before Jordan Rhodes snatched a third in stoppage time.

Steve Howard (7) headed visitors in front, before Michael Doyle (31) equalised. Ritchie Humphreys (54) restored Hartlepool’s advantage before Howard (72) added a third. Harry Maguire added a late consolation for the Blades.

FT Preston NE 0 Doncaster Rovers 3

David Syers (1) and David Cotterill (30) put Rovers in front. Billy Paynter (76) added a third goal from the penalty spot.

FT Rotherham United 4 Accrington Stanley 1

A Thomas Eckersley own goal put Mills in front on 15 minutes, but conceded an equalised to Craig Lindfield (40). Daniel Nardiello (63, 74) put the hosts back in front before Michael O’Connor added a fourth.

FT Bradford City 2 Rochdale 4

Goals from Terry Gornell (6, 40), Ashley Grimes (33) and Andrew Tutte (27) gave the visitors a 4-2 victory at Valley Parade, with Alan Connell (19, 36) pulling two goals back from the penalty spot.
