Have your say

Keith Hill saw his improving Barnsley side beat Peterborough today in the Championship in a seven-goal thriller.

Reuben Noble Lazarus, Alastair Taylor and Goran Lovre have all suffered illness this week at Oakwell, but Andy Gray has returned to training after an Achilles injury.

None were included in the B arnsley squad though for today’s trip to Posh.

Barnsley got off to a great start and were in front after 17 minutes via Jim O’Brien.

And it was 2-0 when Jacob Butterfield netted in first half stoppage time.

Ricardo Vaz Te addeda third after 55 minutes.

But Posh launched a spirited fightback with goals from George Boyd (64), Ryan Bennett (68) and Lee Frecklington (70).

In an amazing game, Craig Davies nudged Barnsley back in front and clinch all three points.

Barnsley boss Hill said: “I am thrilled to have won and to have played so well for 65 minutes of the game, but finished feeling we had got away with it - and but for goalkeeper Luke Steele in the last 25 minutes we would have lost.”
