Team news: Rory McArdle’s recovery from an ankle injury leaves Phil Parkinson with a big decision to make as he now has four fit central defenders, Andrew Davies, Carl McHugh and Michael Nelson being the others. James Meredith is out so Curtis Goode is expected to get the nod at left-back ahead of Ryan Dickson.


Blackburn Rovers v Leeds United

Team news: Aside from a muscle strain issue for Rudolph Austin that makes him a doubt, Neil Warnock can pick from the squad that beat Blackpool. Leigh Bromby, Davide Somma and Adam Drury remain long-term absentees.

Bolton v Hull City

Team news: George Boyd is in contention after joining from Peterborough. Paul McShane (hamstring) and Abdoulaye Faye (calf) return to training next week.

Bristol City v Barnsley

Team news: Ryan Tunnicliffe could be handed a debut in place of the injured Scott Golbourne (knee ligaments), out for the rest of the season, while Kelvin Etuhu (broken nose) could return. Stephen Dawson (ankle) remains sidelined, although is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Huddersfield Town v Ipswich

Team news: Anthony Gerrard is set to return after beinng rested for the midweek game with Nottingham Forest due to a long-standing Achilles problem. Jermaine Beckford, Danny Ward and Keith Southern are injured.

Middlesbrough v Millwall


Team news: Lukas Jutkiewicz (ankle ligaments) is sidelined, but Scott McDonald is on the mend and could feature. Kieron Dyer (hamstring) has a chance of being fit, with Mowbray set to run checks over Ishmael Miller and Andy Halliday (both ankle) and several other players.

Sheffield Wednesday v Crystal Palace

Team news: Wednesday are sweating on the fitness of defensive pair Anthony Gardner (thigh) and Reda Johnson (foot). Loan strikers Connor Wickham and Leroy Lita look set to start as a pair for the first time at Hillsborough.

League One

Bournemouth v Sheffield United

Team news: Striker Jonathan Forte (groin) is a major doubt for the Blades, but other than that United have no new injury worries. For the hosts, captain Miles Addison (foot) and Tommy Elphick (bruised foot) are out.

Doncaster Rovers v Yeovil Town

Team news: Paul Keegan, Dave Syers and Iain Hume also back in contention for Rovers, without the injured duo of Chris Brown and Andy Griffin. Loan signings John Lundstram and Cameron Howieson are in the squad.

Oxford United v York City

Team news: York are boosted by the return to fitness of Lanre Oyebanjo, previously sidelined with a fractured skull. Michael Coulson, Jon Challinor, Chris Doig and David McGurk are all out.
