Premier League

Norwich City v Hull City

Team news: Nikica Jelavic is in line to make his debut following the record £6.5m transfer that brought the Croat to the KC. Shane Long, however, must be patient with a niggling injury likely to delay his bow. Paul McShane (ankle) is out.

Barnsley v Blackpool

Team news: Ryan McLaughlin could make his belated debut for the Reds after arriving on loan from Liverpool. Boss Danny Wilson is hopeful Jim O’Brien (groin) will be fit, while Marcus Pedersen is set to miss out. Kelvin Etuhu (hamstring) is sidelined.

Burnley v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: Reda Johnson (groin) is rated 50/50 by Owls caretaker boss Stuart Gray. Connor Wickham and Chris Kirkland both return after missing the midweek FA Cup win over Macclesfield. Lewis Buxton, Kamil Zayette, Martin Taylor and Giles Coke are expected to step up their comebacks with games for the U21s on Monday.

Doncaster Rovers v Wigan Athletic

Team news: Paul Keegan is back in the fray for Rovers, while James Coppinger and James Husband have shown no ill effects after making their first-team returns at Blackburn. Rob Jones is back in training, but won’t be involved in today’s encounter. Rovers have completed the signing of experienced Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas. The 30-year-old, who has been training with the club this week, has signed on a short-term deal until the end of the season subject to international clearance.

Leeds United v Leicester City

Team news: Matt Smith begins a three-game ban following the striker’s dismissal at Sheffield Wednesday a week ago. Brian McDermott admitted in midweek that “places are up for grabs” and Rodolph Austin could drop out after giving up the captaincy.

Middlesbrough v Charlton Athletic

Team news: Nathaniel Chalobah is in contention for a debut, along with fellow Chelsea loan arrival Kenneth Omerou. Jason Steele is still sidelined, but Kei Kamara has boosted Boro’s attacking options by declaring himself available following a knee injury.

QPR v Huddersfield Town

Team news: Nahki Wells is pushing for a first start after coming off the bench to score the winner on his debut a week ago. Joe Lolley, fresh from scoring the goal that knocked out Peterborough United in the FA Cup, is in the squad following his midweek move from Kidderminster Harriers,

League One

Shrewsbury v Rotherham United

Team news: Wes Thomas could be handed a debut after joining the club from Bournemouth. Miles Addison is fit, with boss Steve Evans having rubbished false rumours suggesting he broke his foot in training. Captain Craig Morgan is out after underdoing a ‘clear-up’ toe operation.

Sheffield United v Bradford City

Team news: Blades boss Nigel Clough picks from strength, with ex-Bantam Billy Paynter hoping for a full debut after joining on loan from Doncaster Rovers. Ricky Ravenhill, Nathan Doyle and Oli McBurnie are doubts for City, who could hand a debut to new signing Aaron Mclean. James Meredith and Andrew Davies remain sidelined. For Bradford, Aaron Mclean is likely to make huis debut but Ricky Ravenhill is out with the ankle injury that forced the midfielder out of last week’s draw with Bristol City. Ollie McBurnie (hamstring) is a doubt and Andrew Davies is still out despite returning to training this week.

League Two

York City v Bristol Rovers

Team news: Daniel Parslow remains City’s only long-term absentee, while Nick Pope goes straight into the squad after the goalkeeper rejoined the Minstermen from Charlton Athletic on loan.
