Made impressive blocks to thwart Guerrero and Lolley in the first half against Nottingham Forest at Oakwell and produced a flying reaction save to deny Taylor on the restart. Enjoying a strong campaign.

One of several Boro defenders who have come into their own this term. Kept Jordan Hugill under lock and key on Saturday and was unfortunate to finish on the losing side.

Julian Borner (Sheffield Wednesday)

Big, uncomplicated and strong. The German looks an archetypal Tony Pulis player. Assertive in his duties at Deepdale, with a commanding performance headlined by a key late clearance.

Jacob Greaves (Hull City)

Grasping his opportunity with both hands. It has been a rewarding time of late for the Cottingham lad, who recently signed a new deal. Resolute again at MK Dons.

Midfield/wing backs

Callum Brittain (Barnsley)

Has made a real impact since arriving at Oakwell and it is perplexing that more Championship clubs were not looking at him in the summer. Provided non-stop energy going forward and discipline in his defensive duties. Produced the assist for Woodrow’s second late on. Star is on the rise.

A real ‘go-to’ man for Hull and revelled in his free-role on Saturday. One of the most influential players in League One so far this term.

Mateusz Klich (Leeds United)

Different class in the first half on Sunday against Arsenal especially and such an intelligent, reliable and influential player. Provides a real heartbeat for Leeds and has taken to top-flight surroundings like a duck to water.

Callum Styles (Barnsley)

What can we say? Scored an outstanding maiden goal at Oakwell in a splendid moment he will never forget to crown another high-class display defensively and offensively. A real star in the making.

Isaac Mbenza (Huddersfield Town)

Scored after a great run to make it 2-2 at Stoke and also set up Sarr’s goal in Huddersfield Town’s seven-goal thriller in the Potteries. Full of threat and pace on the day; his renaissance has been good to witness.

Josh Magennis (Hull City)

Gave veteran defender Richard Keogh a torrid time of it en route to two early goals in a powerhouse performance. Key player and character for the Tigers.

Rodrigo (Leeds United)

His introduction from the bench was beguiling and showed the class which convinced Leeds to part company with such a sizable fee to land him. Showed some real moments of class and struck the bar with a fine curling effort. Top player.

Head coach

Valerien Ismael (Barnsley)

What a start to life at Oakwell. Has turned th Reds into a mid-table team.
