Barnsley v Everton: Davies relishing prospect of locking horns with former club
Davies, 22, started his career at Goodison Park and despite not stepping up with the Blues to first-team level, he remains thankful for his time there when he learned plenty as an aspiring young keeper.
And when the draw pitted together Barnsley with the Toffees earlier this month, Davies admitted he was buzzing at the prospect of facing the Merseyside giants.

“I am fit, healthy and ready for selection tomorrow.”
On his time at Goodison, he added: “My main memories are training with some of the top players in the world, that was the best experience for me - learning things from other people and things like that.
“Tim Howard, Iain Turner and John Ruddy were there along with Carlos Nash and Marcus Hahnemann. There were a lot of keepers with a lot of games under their belts. So it was good to get some good experience from them.
“We had Chris Woods as goalkeeping coach who was obviously an England international as well, so it was good to have all those around.”
