Blackpool v Sheffield Wednesday : Clarke fit as Owls eye second win

HAVING beaten Barnsley in his first game in charge, Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine hopes to take his side out of the relegation zone by overcoming Blackpool tonight.

It would be the first time since August that the Owls have recorded back-to-back victories but Irvine was buoyed by the performance of his team at the weekend, their first success in three months.

He also has Leon Clarke back in the squad after a hamstring injury, although fellow striker Francis Jeffers and Tommy Miller remain sidelined by similar problems.

Blackpool are set to recall former Hull City striker Ben Burgess to the starting line-up and know victory would lift themselves back into the play-off spots.

Manager Ian Holloway is missing Hameur Bouazza, who is still away on international duty with Algeria.
