Co-owners Kevin McCabe and Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have announced that they have put together a team of directors for Sheffield United which features Simon McCabe, Scott McCabe, Stephen Bettis (the Blades’ new Managing Director), Tareq Hawasli, Selahattin Baki and Sheffield city region businessman Martin Green.

The club say the streamlined board reflects the owners’ desires to have key representatives involved in the day-to-day operations of the club.

“The new-look board mirrors a re-focussing by the club and its co-owners,” said managing director Mr Bettis in a statement.

“We look forward to working closely with our new team manager, Chris Wilder, as he re-builds the playing side, and supporting our off-the-field executives in the development of the business.”
