Bradford City 2 Barnet 1: Flynn grabs Bantams winner

Substitute Luke O'Brien bagged his first goal on home soil to spark victory against struggling Barnet.

O'Brien struck four minutes after coming off the bench to cancel out Albert Adomah's first half strike and the turnaround was completed deep in stoppage time when fellow replacement Michael Flynn fired home at the second attempt.

The Bantams followed up their hard-fought win over Morecambe on Tuesday with another resolute display.

City failed to click during the early exchanges and it took a 28th-minute strike from Adomah to kick-start them.

Adomah fired beyond Jon McLaughlin after racing onto a flick from veteran striker Paul Furlong.

City youngster Leon Osborne fluffed a great chance to level two minutes after the interval when he failed to convert Gareth Evans's cross and the same player was off target again following an excellent City move.

The introduction of the two City substitutes put Taylor's men on the front foot and O'Brien drilled home the equaliser at the far post.

Four minutes from time, City midfielder Adam Bolder saw his looping header hit the crossbar and McLaughlin came to Bradford's rescue soon after when he brilliantly tipped Adomah's curling shot onto the woodwork.

Evans was unlucky to see a diving header smothered by Jake Cole before Flynn shrugged off his rib injury, and Barnet's offside claims, to fire home the winner.
