The Bantams were the subject of an unsuccessful takeover bid by Italian businessman Gianni Paladini last summer.

Since then, a number of parties are believed to have been in touch with joint chairmen, Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes.

This includes a German group who were guests of the club at a home game late last year.

The dialogue between City and the Germans is understood to remain open but, a club insider has today stressed to The Yorkshire Post, “nothing is imminent” in terms of the group becoming involved.

Bradford are keen to avoid a repeat of last summer when Paladini’s bid to take charge dominated the agenda at Valley Parade for several weeks.

Transfers and contracts talks all had to be put on hold before the Italian, once chairman of Queens Park Rangers, admitted defeat in his bid to raise the money to buy out both Lawn and Rhodes.
