Bradford City v Morecambe: Bantams aim to build on character test

league two

PETER TAYLOR believes the horror show of a week ago could have done Bradford City's season a huge favour.

The Bantams were abject in losing 2-0 at Northampton and their manager responded by warning any repeat at Rotherham United on Tuesday night would see big changes made.

City's players responded with a vastly-improved effort to earn a goalless draw.

Taylor, who tried to bolster his squad by signing Liam Dickinson on loan from Barnsley earlier this week, said: "I think the Northampton game was so bad it made the players realise they needed to perform for themselves. Sometimes, a defeat as bad as that can help. We showed much more character against a very good Rotherham side. Now, we have to maintain that."

City, who could hand debuts to loanee arrivals from Manchester United Oliver Gill and Reece Brown, host another side who have had a disappointing start to the season, Morecambe.
