Bradford City v Southend United - Self-belief can help Bantams get season up and running
Given their recent poor run of results, a home game against the beleaguered Shrimpers – who have not won in 13 matches in all competitions this term – offers a precious opportunity.
But if the chance is passed up, it will constitute an early-season drama for City, mindful that they are playing a rock-bottom Southend side who have won just once on their travels in 13-and-a-half months.

But he is under no illusions about the need for a morale-boosting win this evening.
He said: “We have got to make sure we stop the rot on Tuesday night and need to put in a performance where we are creative, energetic and clinical.
“We look forward to the game, it is a quick turnaround and a chance to put things right.
