31 held after Leeds, Bradford football yobs riot in Huddersfield

Altogether 31 people have now been arrested by detectives after violence erupted among football supporters in Huddersfield.

Officers believe fans of Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Leeds United were involved in the disorder on Saturday May 19 – and have appealed for more witnesses to come for ward. The main incident took place on Westgate and Market Street – but the disorder continued to the railway station and on to the tracks, causing nearly 15 hours worth of rail delays. Police want to trace another five hooligans.

The football disorder happened on the afternoon of the Championship Play-Off final.
