Accrington Stanley 3 Bradford City 0: Performance not acceptable, blasts Jackson

Bradford City lost at Accrington Stanley today and still have one eye on the League Two relegation zone.

Luke Joyce put Accrington in front after nine minutes, and it got worse for the Bantams on 16 minutes when Andy Procter doubled their advantage.

Sean McConville (45) put the hosts 3-0 ahead and left City just four points off the bottom two.

Bradford City interim manager Peter Jackson said: “The performance wasn’t acceptable in the first half. The fans were right to sing what they were singing to the players, ‘You’re not fit to wear the shirt’ and they simply weren’t in that first 45 minutes.

“We don’t want to rely on other results, we just want to rely on us winning games, picking up the points that we need.

“But as I say, we’ve got three games to do that and its still in our hands. Games are running out I know that but we desperately need that vital win on Monday.”
