Bantams to cash in with the crowd

PHIL PARKINSON is expecting his Bradford City side to thrive under the pressure of playing in front of a bumper crowd today.

The Bantams have slashed ticket prices to just a £1 for the visit of Hereford United.

Last season, a similar scheme saw 15,332 fans enticed through the turnstiles to watch a 3-2 win over Stockport County and City are hoping for a similar turnout.

Parkinson said: “To have a big crowd will be great. The two chairmen have made the offer to get as many in as possible and I think it is a great idea.

“I am looking for the players to thrive under the chance of playing in front of a bigger than usual attendance.

“Hereford will come and try to make life difficult for us so that means we have to be patient, both on and off the field. Everyone wants an early goal to settle things down but sometimes that just doesn’t happen so we have to be prepared for that.”

The £1 tickets must be bought before noon from the Valley Parade ticket office.
