Bradford City 1 Hereford United 1: Syers grabs point for Bantams

Bradford City were held to a draw by League Two strugglers at Valley Parade today.

Craig Fagan (hamstring) and Luke Oliver (thigh) missed out for City, but Phil Parkinson was relieved to include Marcel Seip and Deane Smalley after the pair picked up knocks in last weekend’s victory over Torquay United.

The game was devoid of goals until the 82nd minute, and when the breakthrough came it was the visitors who found the net.

Byron Anthony headed home to stun the Bantams and a healthy Valley Parade crowd.

But City battled back into the game and David Syers equalised with two minutes remaining.

The visitors finished with 10 men when Ben Purkiss picked up his second yellow card in stoppage time.
