A late Calvin Zola winner for Burton crushed Bradford City’s hopes of a hard-earned point following Ricky Ravenhill’s first half dismissal in a 1-0 loss at Burton Albion.

It was heartbreak for City as Burton finally found a way past the depleted Bantams with time running out.

A clipped ball forward from Nathan Stanton wass not dealt with properly by either Garry Thompson or the on-rushing Jon McLaughlin and Damien McCrory was on hand to cross for Zola to head home.

Ravenhill was sent off after 32 minutes for appearing to catch Lee Bell in the face oafter the award of a home free-kick around 30 yards out.
