Davies injury blow rocks Bradford City
Bradford City have been plunged into a defensive crisis after centre-half Andrew Davies was ruled out for four months after knee surgery.
The 28-year-old former Middlesbrough defender had an operation yesterday (Thursday) on an old knee injury, which flared up again during last Saturday’s win over Walsall.
And with fellow centre-halves Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh away on international duty - while Matt Taylor is on loan at Colchester United - the Bantams have just Luke Oliver available as a specialist in that position for Sunday’s game with Tranmere Rovers in League One.
Oliver himself has only started two games in the last year due to an Achilles injury.
