Morecambe v Bradford City: Jackson aims to put Bantams on goal trail

PETER JACKSON has vowed to improve Bradford City’s standing as the second least effective attacking team in the Football League.

Only Sheffield United have scored less than the 33 goals that the Bantams have mustered in 34 games this season.

Even that figure is bolstered with eight of those having come in the home wins over Oxford (5-0) and Stockport County (3-2).

Jackson said: “Anyone can see we haven’t been scoring enough and that has to change. What has pleased me about my first two games is the number of chances we have created.

“If we can keep that up, we won’t be one of the lowest scorers in the Football League for long. The key is building on the win over Rotherham on Tuesday night.

“We will have a big following at Morecambe and it is up to us to reward those supporters by playing entertaining football.

“That is why I immediately switched to two up front in my first game. I want to see us cause problems for the opposition.”
