Parkinson all set to pit wits with Di Canio

Spats with, among others, the benches of Rotherham United and Crawley Town have seen that underlined, as has a touchline clash with Leon Clarke that led to the striker being banished to Chesterfield.

Bradford City will today be the latest side to go head-to-head with Di Canio’s Swindon but Phil Parkinson is not anticipating any problems with his opposite number.

The Bantams’ chief said: “I am looking forward to pitting my wits against him but it is the 11 v 11 on the pitch that matters.”

City make the trip to Wiltshire on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Macclesfield in midweek.

It was City’s fourth defeat in their last five away games and the club have since reported referee Rob Lewis to the Football Association for allegedly swearing at one of their players during Tuesday night’s game at Moss Rose.
