Bradford City are up to fifth in League One - above Sheffield United - after a victory over Notts County on Sunday.

Billy Knott scored the only goal of the game at Valley Parade, four minutes before the interval, to give Phil Parkinson’s side all three points.

Doncaster Rovers completed a good couple of days by building on their win over Coventry City with a goalless draw at high-flying Peterborough United.

Paul Dickov’s side drop a place despite the draw, but are now only three points off the play-offs.

Sheffield United, who are in sixth, saw their match at home to Scunthorpe called off because the cold weather made access to Bramall Lane unsafe.

Referee Mark Heywood said he called the Sky Bet League One clash off “on health and safety grounds”.

In League Two, York City continued their very strong Christmas period with a resounding 3-0 win at fellow League Two strugglers Carlisle United.

Josh Carson, Luke Summerfield and Michael Coulson scored the goals for Russ Wilcox’s Minstermen, who climb to 18th.
