Brighton and Hove Albion sign Orlandi from Swansea City

Brighton have signed Spanish midfielder Andrea Orlandi for an undisclosed fee from Swansea.

The 28-year-old has agreed a two-year contract at the Amex Stadium and is available for tomorrow’s npower Championship trip to Burnley.

“Andrea provides us with versatility and creativity across the midfield,” Seagulls manager Gus Poyet told the club’s official website.

“He can play as a typical winger, or more central in a number 10 role.

“He has played a lot of games in the Championship for Swansea, helping them win promotion, and he has played at the top level.”

Poyet moved for Orlandi after winger Craig Noone completed his move to Championship rivals Cardiff.
