Broken foot spells end for Barnsley's international midfielder

BARNSLEY'S Icelandic international Emil Hallfredsson will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot.

Reds' manager Mark Robins confirmed the midfielder suffered the injury during the first half of the Sheffield United match at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Robins said: "Emil has broken his fifth metatarsal. He will not feature again this campaign."

Hallfredsson, aged 25, was signed on season-long loan from Italian side Reggina Calcio.
