Burnley v Barnsley: Turf Moor test offers Barnsley the chance to break their away duck

BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins has challenged his players to replicate their home form on their travels.

The Reds head to Burnley tonight fresh from an uplifting

3-1 home win over Nottingham Forest which was their fourth win in six games at Oakwell.

Conversely, they have picked up just two points from their five away games this season, a factor that has prevented them challenging for a top-six spot.

With a trip to Coventry City on the horizon on Saturday, Robins has laid down the gauntlet to his players.

"We were a lot better at the weekend and it just underlines what we want to do and how we want to do it," said Robins who has yet to orchestrate successive wins this season.

"We now want to take that into our away form. We have not won yet but we have been close in a couple of matches.

"We just have to keep our heads and keep working in the right way. There is no doubt about it – we have improved this season.

"But we have not won back-to-back games and that is something I have stressed to the players. Can we do that at Burnley?"

Robins acknowledged that breaking their away duck at Turf Moor tonight would be a significant yardstick in their progress, particularly considering where the Clarets have just come from.

"Burnley are a good side. They have only just come down from the Premier League and have sold well, retained well and added well," he said.

Striker Jeronimo Morales Neumann misses the game with a groin strain but is expected to be fit for the trip to Coventry. Otherwise Robins reports a clean bill of health.
