Burnley v Doncaster Rovers: Hayter is happy to be back in Rovers team

Hayter has responded to the acquisition of David Healy and the form of Billy Sharp prior to his injury with two goals in two games and has no intention of relinquishing his place in the starting line-up.

"I'm very happy to get two in two. I missed six weeks at the start of the season and have come back and feel pretty good," said the former Bournemouth striker, who has started only six of Rovers' 15 league games this season.

"I feel like I'm playing well and we're doing all right at the minute.

"We suffered disappointment last week at Reading, being 3-1 up and losing – but we have put it right this week."

Either James Chambers or Mustapha Dumbuya is expected to come in for Joseph Mills who has an ankle injury, while Burnley manager Brian Laws will give a late fitness test to Andre Bikey.

Rovers have signed former Barnsley defender Dennis Souza on a three-month deal.

Despite sitting 12th, Doncaster are only two points off sixth-place Ipswich Town.

Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington insists on-loan Rovers striker Healy still has an international future.

Healy, 30, has been omitted from the squad to face Morocco in a friendly at Windsor Park on November 17 despite amassing 35 goals in 84 games.

Worthington said: "It is the right time to give David a breather. It gives me a chance to look at other people."
