DONCASTER ROVERS are just two points off top spot in League One following a 3-1 win at Burton Albion.

Darren Moore's charges have played at least one game fewer than all three sides above them following a fourth-straight victory.

Rovers last defeat came against Yorkshire rivals Hull City, who are now just one point ahead of them after losing their last three fixtures.

Fejiri Okenabirhie struck after eight minutes to put Doncaster in front but the away side were pegged back by the division's bottom club when Lucas Akins scored from the penalty spot on 44 minutes.

Despite conceding so late in the half, Rovers went into the interval in front as Ben Whiteman scored from a spotkick in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Just before the hour, Taylor Richards wrapped up the points for the visitors as he curled an effort inside the post.
