Bury 3 Huddersfield Town 3: We cannot keep shooting ourselves in foot, says Grayson

Huddersfield Town manager Simon Grayson was left to rue another two dropped points after letting slip a 3-0 lead at Bury.

Town looked in control when Sean Morrison fired home Danny Ward’s corner and Jordan Rhodes extended the lead with two strikes.

But Steve Schumacher started the fightback with a 25-yard free-kick, before Lenell John-Lewis clipped in David Amoo’s cross, and Ashley Eastham volleyed home Peter Sweeney’s corner in injury time to grab a dramatic point.

”This week you’ve probably seen the very best and worst of the team,” said Town boss Grayson.

“The game should have been over (at 3-0) but they’ve been a bit naive, not sensing danger as a team and as individuals, and that has cost the team dearly.

“Since i’ve come in we’ve dropped four points this week which is hugely disappointing because we could have been in a fantastic position. But you can’t keep shooting yourself in the foot if your going to achieve over a course of a season.”
