Carlisle United v Huddersfield Town: Huddersfield's players may not get better chance to play at Wembley, says Clark

HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Lee Clark has warned his players that opportunities to play at Wembley do not come around too often.

Clark was speaking ahead of tonight's first leg clash at Carlisle United in the northern area final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The winners over two legs will play Brentford or Exeter City in the final at Wembley in April.

"We are going to give it everything we have got to reach the final of what is an important competition to us," said Clark. "An opportunity like this, to play at such an impressive stadium, may never come around again for some of my players. Hopefully it will but you have to take your opportunities when you get handed them."

Carlisle's bid for glory has been dented by the sale of striker Gary Madine to Sheffield Wednesday – a player Clark has compared to Newcastle's Andy Carroll in terms of the way he plays the game.

Town, meanwhile, are sweating over the fitness of Hungarian international defender Tamas Kadar who suffered a hamstring problem on his second appearance since moving on loan from Newcastle.

"We have monitored his condition over the past 24 to 36 hours and are liaising with Newcastle to work out the best possible solution," said Clark.

"We haven't made a decision about his participation, we are still unsure about the extent of the injury."
