Sheffield Wednesday are looking to land a former Reading winger, and reported one time Middlesbrough target, who has been seen turning out for the Owls’ Under 23 side.

A former England and Arsenal legend has revealed he applied for a number of vacant managerial positions over the past year including Preston North End and Swansea City.

Meanwhile, a former Hull City manager is back in the dugout further down the divisions while a former QPR Icon, who also turned out for Nottingham Forest and Stoke City, is wanted as number two at a League 2 side.

Blackburn Rovers are locked in contract talks with their star striker while a former Rovers forward while in League 1, Sunderland manager Lee Johnson has revealed he turned down a bid for their current top scorer in the Summer.

New Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper will consider bringing in players from the free agent market with two of his top stars missing through injury while a quartet of Premier League clubs are eyeing a move for Reading's star man in January.
