Complete accident, insists accused Leeds United winger Sam

LEEDS UNITED winger Lloyd Sam hit back at Hull City manager Nigel Pearson last night after being accused of making a 'coward's challenge' on Liam Rosenior.

Pearson was incensed over a challenge in the closing stages of Tuesday night's 2-2 draw that left Rosenior with a neck injury.

Sam, writing on his Twitter page, said: "It was unfortunate what happened to Rosenior last night, I never saw him coming then we collided and his injury looked bad.. complete accident."

Rosenior's injury is not as serious as first feared but he has been ruled out of Saturday's game against Scunthorpe United.

Hull midfielder James Harper, meanwhile, is to see a specialist after suffering a foot injury. He broke the same foot in pre-season and was sidelined for three months.
