Coventry City 2 Barnsley 2: Lita grabs equaliser for developing Reds

Hitman Leroy Lita made sure battling Barnsley snatched a deserved draw on their travels to the Sixfields Stadium last night.

The Reds twice came from behind to pick up a point away to the in-form Sky Blues.

And it was former Sheffield Wednesday loan striker Lita who led the way with his second goal in as many games to secure a point.

Josh McQuid gave the hosts a fourth-minute lead only for Conor Hourihane to level matters with his first Reds’ goal in the 31st minute.

Lacklustre defending again saw Jordan Clarke put the hosts in front for the second time in the match a minute before the break.

But less than a minute later Lita tapped home from close range for the second game running. The South Yorkshire side had still not beaten Coventry away in nearly 91 years, but at least boss Danny Wilson can at least take solace in a point.

The Tykes have picked up four from a possible six in the league in their last two away outings and his new-look side are gradually looking to take shape.
