Huddersfield were gifted their first goal in the top flight since 1972 as Joel Ward scored in his own net from a corner on 23 minutes.

The Terriers capitalised on their fortune two minutes later as Mounie buried a header from Aaron Mooy's deep cross.

Mounie wasted a golden opportunity to make it three midway through the second half but the Benin international eventually got his second with 13 minutes remaining from a swift counter attack.
