Day back at Elland Road as former Leeds United defender heads to York
FORMER Leeds United goalkeeper Mervyn Day has returned to Elland Road as the club's new chief scout.
Day, who played in the Leeds side that won promotion under Howard Wilkinson 20 years ago, was Alan Curbishley's No 2 at Charlton and West Ham.
Leeds defender Liam Darville, meanwhile, is training with York City after spending the end of last season on loan at Rotherham United.
