Tommy Rowe got on the scoresheet for Doncaster against Shrewsbury

The unbeaten Shrews snatched victory at the death after Joe Riley had earlier levelled the scores in the first half immediately after Tommy Rowe’s second goal of the season for the hosts.

Gnahoua, who had only been on the pitch six minutes, subsequently ensured Darren Ferguson’s side have now failed to take maximum points at the Keepmoat for five-and-a-half months.

Rovers had bossed the opening exchanges and should have forged in front at the end of a flowing move, only for Rowe to miss the target with the goal at his mercy from eight yards.

The former Peterborough and Wolves midfielder did go on to net on 34 minutes.

A Rodney Kongolo raid down the right saw Marquis lay off the on-loan Manchester City winger’s low cross and Rowe found Henderson’s bottom-left corner from 20 yards with a firm, first-time finish.

But, within seconds, the visitors extended their record of scoring in every game this term to a 12th match, as Riley broke through the right channel unopposed and fired powerfully past Ian Lawlor from just inside the penalty area.

The goal gave Paul Hurst’s men a lift and Jon Nolan hoisted an early second-half chance over from ten yards.

At the other end, though, Alfie May’s 15-yard drive was parried away smartly by Henderson.

But, deep into added-on time, ex-Kidderminster winger Gnahoua drove at the home defence and beat substitute keeper Marco Marosi, who had just replaced the injured Lawlor, from 20 yards.

Frustrated home fans booed at the final whistle with their team still waiting for that first elusive league victory on their own soil since overcoming Mansfield 1-0 on April 8.
