Doncaster Rovers striker to keep Sharp focus

DONCASTER Rovers striker Billy Sharp says the club's promotion credentials will be seriously tested after the international break.

Rovers are currently level on points with fifth-placed Burnley and return to action on Saturday for a sequence of three games in a week against Watford, Norwich City, and Leeds United.

Sharp, who scored his second goal of the season in the home victory over Hull City last time out, said: "It was important to go into the international break on the back of a victory but it's too early in the season to say how we are going to do.

"We have put ourselves into a good position ahead of a period of three games in the space of a week and – if we come out with good results in those – it will be interesting to see where we are in the table."
