Brighton 2 Doncaster Rovers 1: Buckley double stuns Rovers

Rovers had a lengthy injury list going into the new campaign with Brian Stock, Mark Wilson, Martin Woods, Adam Lockwood, James Chambers, Shelton Martis, and James O’Connor all sidelined.

Billy Sharp opened the scoring at Brighton’s new stadium, firing home on 39 minutes.

It looked like Doncaster were going to hold on for all three points but a goal from substitute Will Buckley seven minutes from time, levelled the scores.

In the eighth minute of injury time, Buckley popped up with a controversial winner.
