Coventry City 0 Doncaster Rovers 2: Rovers drag Coventry down from Championship

Relegated Doncaster Rovers condemned fellow strugglers Coventry City to the drop in the Championship.

Defender Shelton Martis was ruled out after suffering a calf injury in midweek against Middlesbrough so teenager James Husband made his full debut. Tommy Spurr and Brian Stock will not play again this season but Habib Bamago and Martin Woods were named as substitutes.

Rovers took the lead with two quickfire goals. First James Hayter fired home from the penalty spot on 81 minutes then Simon Gillett made it 2-0 six minutes later.

Defeat means Coventry will be playing in League One next season.
