Doncaster Rovers: N’Guessan wings in to become sixth summer signing for Rovers

DONCASTER ROVERS have signed former Leicester, Millwall and Charlton winger Dany N’Guessan - who has become their sixth summer signing.

The 27-year-old, who has had a brief spell in Greece with Larissa following his release from Port Vale at the end of last season, has quickly returned to the UK and penned a two-year deal at the Keepmoat Stadium.

N’Guessan has a wealth of experience in English football having also featured for Southampton and Swindon and is expected to feature in Rovers’ final pre-season friendly against Wolves on Saturday.

N’Guessan follows Thorsten Stuckmann, Gary MacKenzie, Andy Williams, Richard Chaplow and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair through the arrivals door at Rovers as they plot a promotion campaign in League One.

He has been previously promoted to the Championship with Southampton and Charlton.

The French-born winger, who started his career at Auxerre, left Port Vale by mutual consent in February after signing a short-term contract in October - scoring four times in 12 appearances for the Potteries outfit.
