Leeds United suffered a blow in their campaign to gain automatic promotion from the Championship when they flopped 3-0 at rivals Swansea City.

It proved to be a bad day in the Championship for Yorkshire clubs with no side picking up a win.

There were home defeats for Sheffield United (1-0 to Derby), Barnsley (2-0 to Norwich) and Hull City (2-0 to Cardiff) while Doncaster Rovers managed to earn a draw against Watford.

Sheffield Wednesday finally ended their two-month wait for a league win after a 1-0 success at Carlisle in League One, but Huddersfield let slip a two-goal lead to draw with Orient.

In League Two, there were wins for Bradford City and Rotherham United, while York City triumped in the Blue Square Premier.

Championship

A double from Scott Sinclair (13, 55 pen) and a third from Luke Moore (72) gave Swansea all three points.

Goalless at half-time, but Michael Chopra (65) broke the deadlock for Cardiff. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas added late Cardiff goal.

Theo Robinson (27) shocked the Blades as Micky Adams still searches for a Blades win.

Tommy Miller (20) grabbed Owls winner for first victory in two months.

Jordan Rhodes (2) returned to side with Town goal before Lee Novak (49) doubled advantage. Harry Kane replied for Orient before being sent off for two bookings. Jimmy Smith (88) grabbed late equaliser for 10-man Orient.

Steve Williams (14) puts Bantams ahead before Turnbull (27) equalised. County were then reduced to 10 men when Griffin was red carded for handball but James Hanson missed the penalty. Ryan Doble (40) put Stockport ahead but was then sent off, as Williams (76) equalised and Gareth Evans grabbed late winner.

Greg Pearson (2) opened scoring before Johnny Mullins (4) equalised. Aaron Webster (34) restored Burton’s lead. Marcus Marshall (80) equalised for Millers before Adam Le Fondre (89) and Taylor grabbed all three points for visitors.

Jonathan Swift (23) put Minstermen in front before James Holmes (75) equalised. Michael Rankine restored York’s lead.
