Andy Williams delieverd two goals to see Doncaster Rovers return from Oldham with all three points in League One.
Striker Williams picked up Craig Alcock’s pass and drilled the ball into the top corner to put Rovers in front.
He netted his 12th goal of the season just before half-time following a goalmouth scramble.
Rhys Murphy’s goal meant a nervous ending to the match, but Doncaster were not to be denied an away win.
