Southampton 2 Doncaster Rovers 0: Sharp nets twice against former club

Dean Saunders saw his patched-up Doncaster Rovers suffer against former hero Billy Sharp at Championship leaders Southampton.

Rovers suffered a setback with news that defender Tommy Spurr will miss the rest of the season with a broken hand. Shelton Martis, Brian Stock and George Friend are also absent today but French defender Pascal Chimbonda is back after missing out against Millwall in midweek.

Saints took the lead and it just had to be former Rovers striker Sharp, finding the net with a header for the league leaders.
