Taylor looking for Rovers to stem losing run

DONCASTER Rovers defender Richard Taylor has stressed the importance of victory today at Reading.

The two clubs occupy the bottom two positions in the Championship table and Rovers are now only two games away from equalling a club record of 20 consecutive league games without a win.

“We just need to get a win under our belt and, if we do that this weekend, we can go above Reading,” said Naylor. “I am surprised that they are down there because last season, when I played against them for Leeds, they were unbeaten in about 20 games.

“They have lost a couple of players since but we know they will be fired up for this game and desperate to get a win.”

Manager Sean O’Driscoll, meanwhile, says confidence is currently a major problem in the Doncaster Rovers camp: “We were confident going into the first game but the three injuries we picked up in the first two games really knocked the stuffing out of everybody.”
