Doncaster Rovers lost at Walsall in League One to give Rob Jones a losing start as caretaker manager.
It was tough on the visitors who looked set for a point until Tom Bradshaw broke the deadlock in the 85th minute.
Up until then, James Coppinger’s spectacular effort had come closest to opening the scoring.
But it was another eye-catching striker, this time a volley from Bradshaw, which proved decisive.
Bradshaw chipped Rovers goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann in injury time to send Rovers home empty-handed.
