Winger Sacko joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Sporting Lisbon last summer as part of a deal which gave United the option to sign the player at the end of the loan spell.

Leeds are now looking to make Sacko’s switch to Elland Road permanent and the 23-year-old took to social media on Tuesday evening to suggest that more “moments” were just around the corner at Elland Road.

“Very excited to stay there and help as much as I can.”

Reports in Portugual suggest the fee for Sacko will be somewhere between £1.5m and £2m.

Sacko made 42 appearances for United last season, scoring twice.

Centre-back Jansson, meanwhile, also joined Leeds on loan last summer, making a huge impact after moving from Italian Serie A club Torino.

The defender’s performances saw him attract a raft of intetrest from the Premier League but Leeds announced in February that the Swede would join the club on July 1 on a three-year deal.

But Southampton in particular have continued to be linked with a summer swoop for Jansson with the Saints willing to pay more than the £3.5m fee agreed between United and Torino nine months ago.

The situation was then complicated further when the impending transfer was investigated by FIFA after Torino lodged a formal complaint with football’s world governing body, accusing Leeds of failing to meet their obligations by delaying the first instalment of a £3.5m fee until July.

But the dispute has since been resolved and Jansson also took to social media on Tuesday night to suggest there would be little doubt that he would be at Elland Road for the start of the next term.

“It has been the most eventful season during my career and I have everyone around Leeds United Football Club to thank for that,” said the Swede.

“See you next season.”

Jansson is set for his latest spell on international duty with Sweden who entertain France in a Group A World Cup Qualifier next Friday night.

Sweden also visit Norwway for a friendly a week on Tuesday.

United will have five players away on international duty with Ronaldo Vieira in action for England under-20s in the Toulon Tournament which began this week.

Vieira started in England’s opening group game on Monday night against Angola in which the Three Lions recorded a 1-0 victory. England will take in their second group game tomorrow evening when they play Cuba.

The young Three Lions will then complete their group-stage matches against Japan on Sunday afternoon.
